La Porte High School Cross Country boys and girls have definitely worked their hardest practicing for their upcoming meets. Have no doubt we have the best runners yet.

The Cross Country girls competed in the 21-5A District CC Meet. The girls competed well at their meet October 27th and fought every meter of the race. Both the Varsity and JV won District Champions. The Varsity team will advance to regionals next Saturday. The top 3 teams at Regional’s will advance to the State Meet November 12Th.

The Boys Cross Country teams competed in the District 21-5A meet as well,” they were victorious in all races”, said Johnson. They won the varsity by a 20 point margin, made a perfect score on the JV race with the first five runners being from La Porte, and the freshman nearly competed the same feat but missed it by only one point.” I want to thank all that helped with the meet Thursday, you all did a great job and helped us big time. A special shout out to Coach Torres, Coach Joiner, Coach Arrant, Coach Lareau, Doc Nations, and Mr. Schoppe for coming out to support our teams”, says Coach Johnson.

Go out and support our cross country students November 12th.

This year, the La Porte Bulldogs have started off with a great start and will hopefully make the best of the 2011-2012 Cross Country season.
